I have the CHECK ENGINE light ON after re-installing the ECU after re-flash
After disconnecting an ECU, most bikes will set up to a dozen errors once re-connected. You can clear the codes with a simple Diagnostic tool or 2-5 ignition cycles (ON-OFF) and a short ride will clear the light on most bikes.
Check the battery terminals are clean and secured.
*Some Yamaha bikes after 2017 will need a Diagnostic tool to clear error codes.
I have a "misfire" or a stumble after having the ECU re-flashed.
Please check the air Filter is not blocked with dust, check for air/vacuum leaks and ensure you have no Fuel Dongles, O2 sensor eliminator or PC5-Rapid "piggyback" modules connected.
These will result in over-fueling and poor performance.
Check O2 sensors are plugged in and active.
I can’t always get 98 Octane fuel where I am planning to ride, does your re-flash accommodate that?
Yes, the re-flash on most models can be customised to your choice of fuel by changing the fuel & ignition maps. Once flashed, it can be modified post-trip to suit 95-98 RON. (Full power update cost including P/H is only $75 if required).
*Some people choose to use Octane booster if they expect only a short period on low quality fuel (e.g 91 RON or Opal)
Will I retain factory fuel economy after a Re-Flash?
Yes, some people have even noticed an improvement in fuel ecomony after our reflash.
Because we run "closed loop" engine management, the Lambda maps are edited but still monitor AFR's and control fuel economy at cruise and low-load conditions.
How do I remove and send the ECU?
Disconnect the battery negative terminal first before unplugging the ecu.
Bubblewrap the ecu and post it in a sturdy cardboard box.
Reconnect the battery terminal only after the ECU is plugged back in.

How much does the Mail-in ECU service cost?
The mail-in cost for most ECU's is $695 plus $25 Tracked Post and Handling.
Some Ecu's require access to the programming pads or Boot pin and may cost extra...e.g Yamaha MT01 and current models with IAW 11MP ecu - (Aprilia RSV4 & Guzzi V85TT MY21-).

What's the Turn-around time if i post my ECU to Yuri Mechanical?
Mail-ins recieve priority and are normally re-flashed and back in the post within 2-3 days.
